They will trigger any plugin, synth, sampler, etc. The track you imported from Sibelius are just notes. I had assigned EXS24 sounds to each track, AFTER i had imported them from SIbelius. Ie I never originally recorded the tracks into Logic using EXS24 sounds in the first place. So surely, if I had attached an EXS24 sound to each track that was already imported from Sibelius, then I could swap sounds for any other? I should explain that originally these tracks were imported from Sibelius score with no official sounds attached to them. Well guys- before i try these various suggestions (and thanks for them ) You'll have to experiment on your own to find the optimum settings for all of the above. program another slot in the matrix so that CC1 increases the volume slightly.program a slot in the modulation matrix so that CC1 increases cutoff.bring the cutoff down somewhat (how much is a matter of taste).
turn the filter on, set it to 6dB LP (low pass), and turn drive all the way down. With EXS, you'd do the following to simulate what the garritan does: Essentially, on Garritan, the modwheel controls both the volume and the filter. However, one thing you can do is simulate the action of Garritan's modwheel programming on the EXS. Bottom line is that you can't always just swap out sounds, especially the original part was performed with a controller that performs a function critical to the way the sound speaks. Like I said above, different plugins react differently to controllers. Some are programmed so that the modwheel introduces vibrato, for example. So while the MIDI notes you recorded will trigger sounds in the EXS sound you're using, the modwheel hasn't been programmed to do anything. Depending on how they're programmed, different plugins will react differently (or not at all) to various controllers like modwheel.
